Hi! My name is Autumn and I am the founder of Something Blue Camcorder Co! 🩵📹✨

As a little girl, I was often found making music videos with the family camcorder. Our camcorder was used mostly on vacations + holidays, and although it was just a fun thing we did at the time - those home movies mean everything to me today.

In 2024, my husband + I eloped in Iceland and decided to bring along our personal camcorder. Our loved ones passed around the camcorder that week and filmed everything from their POV. As we sorted through the footage afterwards, we were left with some of the most sentimental + intimate memories to replay forever.

After that, and as a wedding photographer myself, I started bringing my camcorders to weddings that didn’t have a videographer. I would pass the camcorder around to guests while I captured photos and what started as just a personal project, quickly turned into so much more. And that is where Something Blue was created!

SBCC officially launched in the summer of 2025 - and after a few viral TikTok videos, we found ourselves with 100+ bookings almost overnight. I have spent the last year turning our guest room into a shipping room, hiring a team and now here we are!

Our clients vary from those wanting videography for a smaller price tag - and those who love all things nostalgia, analog and/or want their wedding film to feel like a home movie.

There are so many decisions to make during wedding planning but I hope that this option can relieve stress while preserving the day, exactly the way it felt!
